What is happening with Ian?

UPDATE 2nd Mar – Had the gastroscopic ultrasound on my pancreas, today where they did 3 biopsies (with very big needles!!). I’m afraid there is some abnormality there, and I have to wait to see if if it is cancerous. So it looks like more tests for me over the next few weeks. I’m feeling a bit tired and have a sore throat  so will rest up until I go live again Tuesday 3rd at 5pm and 10pm – and of course I have the new single “Beyond the Grave” out on Friday 6th. Hoping to see many of back on my lives

UPDATE – 2nd Mar – I’ll be live as usual at 8.30 but will then be having a Gastroscopic Ultra Sound to investigate the lesion on my pancreas, so will not be “live” again until Tues 3rd at 5pm. Hopefully things will settle down for the launch party for the new single “Beyond the Grave” at 23.45 UK time on Thursday 5th

UPDATE – 28th Feb – Good news as a result of yesterday’s colonoscopy. There is no sign of bowel cancer and 2 polyps were removed and sent for histology. These polyps presumably account for the microscopic blood particles in my bowel cancer test. However I’m resting this morning but planning to go live at 5 and at 10. So please feel free to join me.

Next challenge is an endoscopy to investigate the lesion on my pancreas on Monday 2nd

BACKGROUND – I am aware that many of you are concerned about the health issues which I am currently experiencing and the impact which it may have on me – so here is a quick update on where I am

During December I was suffering from abdominal pain, and I went to the doctor, who immediately organised a number of tests. Nothing appeared in most of these tests – 3 blood tests – all normal – however  the bowel cancer test showed microscopic traces of blood.

So I have had 2 CT scans and one MRI scan and the damage identified  at the moment is as follows.

  1. Thrombus (blood clot) on my aorta which is being dealt with by daily injections of blood thinners.
  2. Scarring on my lungs and the start of pulmonary fibrosis – which is being investigated
  3. A lesion on the tail of my pancreas for which I am having a a gastroscopic investigation with biopsy on Monday
  4. Possible colon/bowel cancer which is being investigated by a colonoscopy with biopsy on Friday
  5. Bursitis on my hip – the least of my problems

How did I a never smoking , never alcohol drinking, healthy eating daily exerising old man manage to get these problems? Sadly a number of them are being related now in research to Covid 19 but that is sadly where I am.

As you can doubt see, this will impact my lives and videos quite a bit.

There will be no lives between 7pm on Thursday until Saturday and again on Monday

I’m going to miss you all but hopefully we’ll find out some answers.

I will use this page to provide updates

Thanks

Ian
